Panoramic Road of the Alps Discover the Silvretta High Alpine Road

At the end of the valley begins one of the most beautiful and popular scenic roads in the Alps: the Silvretta High Alpine Road. Stretching 22.3 kilometres, it leads from Partenen – the last village in Montafon – in 34 hairpin bends over the Bielerhöhe Pass and down to Galtür in the Paznaun Valley.

Whether by car, classic car, motorbike, e-bike, mountain bike, or racing bike – this mountain road is always worth the trip. Along the way, you’ll be rewarded with a spectacular mountain backdrop, breathtaking viewpoints, and the crystal-blue lakes Vermunt, Silvretta, and Kops, all beautifully embedded in the high-alpine landscape.

The Silvretta Bielerhöhe is the highest point of the Silvretta High Alpine Road and a favourite excursion destination for nature lovers and those seeking pleasure. Here you can enjoy lunch, coffee and cake, or ice cream with direct views of the Silvretta Reservoir. It’s also the perfect starting point for both short walks and longer alpine hikes.
