A House with History, a Place for Retreats

The story of Tante Anna began centuries ago. The Montafon house, dating back to 1588, is one of the oldest in St. Gallenkirch. For more than 40 years, from 1950 to 1990, Tante Anna herself welcomed guests here with warmth, humour, and an entrepreneurial spirit that shaped the house into a home filled with life and laughter.

In 2021/22, the ensemble was carefully and sustainably renovated, blending heritage with modern comfort. Today, her grandnephew David continues this tradition with respect and vision. Out of Tante Anna’s spirit grew the idea of creating retreats – places to pause, recharge, and enjoy the Montafon in its purest form.
